Service Rules and Working Hours

The Institute follows MUHS Service Rules (For employees of Private Unaided Institutions: 2017) duly approved by Local Managing Committee dated 14.02.2018 and Executive Council Meeting dated 16.05.2018. Refer latest Service Rules for Minor Amendment in Leave Policies.

Working Hours for full time teaching staff

Duty/working hours for teaching staff include the working days commencing normally from Monday to Saturday. For all Class/Designation: 40 hrs/week (i.e., 40 hours per week).

Monday to Friday	Teaching block-9 am to 5 pm, Partial block-8 am to 4 pm / 8 am to 1 pm Study day system: 9 am to 5 pm
Saturday	Teaching block – 9 am to 2 pm, Partial block-8 am to 1 pm Study day system: 9 am to 2 pm
Nature of Work	Teaching: standing position, Clinical teaching/Field visit: walking and standing position
Place of Work	Teaching – Indoor, Clinical teaching / Field visit - outdoor

Working Hours for non-teaching staff

Duty / Working hours for non-teaching staff include the working days commencing normally from Monday to Saturday. For Class IV: 8 hours, Class III: 7 hours and Class II: 7 hours (i.e., Class IV: 46 hrs, Class III: 40 hrs, and Class II: 40 hrs per week).

Working Hours for Class IV employees

Monday to Friday	8 am to 5 pm / 9 am to 6 pm
Saturday	8 am to 2 pm
Nature of Work	Standing position
Place of Work	Indoor
